On the night of Christmas, the rector of the parish, reverend Fr. Maxim served as a night Liturgy in a church full of Orthodox parishioners. On the Sunday following the holiday, on January 13, a Christmas tree and a solemn dinner were organized for children and adults. One hundred and fifty people gathered together in a banquet hall near the temple. The representative of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Toronto, Consul-Counselor Cherkasov C.S. attended the event.<\/p>\n<p>Pupils of the newly opened Sunday school, children&#8217;s folklore collective &#8220;Ladushka&#8221;, children of parishioners gave a concert. And, of course, Ded Moroz (Russian Santa Claus) and his granddaughter Snegurochka gave Christmas gifts to children gathered around Christmas Tree.
