Our Lady of Smolensk Orthodox Church an icon is passed with the particle of saint relics of St. Nikandr

June 2nd, 2019, in Week 6th on Easter, about a blind in our temple was passed on for prayer worship icon with the particle of saint relics of St. Nikandr of Gorodnozersk.

After the service before the icon of Saint Nicandr glorifying prayers were done. Then the reverend fr. Maxim told about saint Nikandr and his life. Memory of March, 15 and November, 4.

Relics of saint reverend Nikandr of Gorodnozersk are in Saint-Trinity Nikandr’s women monastery of Borovichy’s diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, being situated in the Nikandrov’s village of Lubytinsky district of the Novgorod area, on the western lakeshore of Gorodno.
